Who we are
We are followers of Jesus who desire to see churches and disciples multiply among the Turks living in Metro NYC. Pray 4 Metro NYC Turks exists because of the faithful service of co-laborers with the global body of Christ.
Why we pray
Every church multiplication movement in history happened with the start of extraordinary prayer and following God’s will to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18). Will you join thousands of people around the globe to Pray 4 Metro NYC Turks?
The community we are reaching
The majority of Turks live in their home country of Turkey, but significant numbers live elsewhere. About 75,000 Turks live in the Metro NYC area alone, which holds the largest concentration of Turks in the US!
Many Turks would consider themselves nominal Muslims, and it is culturally accepted that “to be a Turk, one must be Muslim”. Hostility and persecution of minority ethnic groups and Christians are strong in Turkey, with government intimidation and family pressures discouraging many from coming to Christ.
We believe it is not a mere coincidence that the Lord has brought many of our Turkish brothers and sisters to Metro NYC. God did this so they would seek him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him! (Acts 17:26-27)
